Marie Coleman
Marie Coleman is Reader in modern Irish History at the School of History, Anthropology, Philosophy and Politics in Queen's University Belfast. She is the author of a number of books and articles on modern Irish history, including County Longford and the Irish revolution, 1910-1923 (Irish Academic Press, 2003), The Irish sweep: a history of the Irish hospitals sweepstake, 1930?1987 (UCD Press, 2009) and The Irish revolution, 1916-1923 (Routledge, 2013). Her current research interests include the award of military service pensions to veterans of the Irish revolution, the violence experienced by women during the period and the Protestant experience of revolution in southern Ireland.
