Joanna Brück is professor of Archaeology at University College Dublin. She co-edited the volume Making 1916: material and visual culture of the Easter Rising (Liverpool University Press, 2015) with Lisa Godson, and she is currently conducting archaeological survey and excavation at Frongoch in North Wales, the camp where some 1,800 Irish men were interned in the aftermath of the Rising.
