Ciara Meehan is reader in History at the University of Hertfordshire. She is the author of The Cosgrave party: a history of Cumann na nGaedheal (Royal Irish Academy, 2010) and A just society for Ireland: 1964-1987 (Palgrave Macmillan, 2013). Most recently, she co-wrote Saving the state: Fine Gael from Collins to Varadkar with Stephen Collins (Gill Books, 2020).
