Ann-Maria Walsh

Ann-Maria Walsh studied English at University College Dublin and was awarded her PhD in 2017. Her research interests include early modern women's letters and autobiographical writings, and Irish and British history of that period. Her monograph, The Daughters of the First Earl of Cork: Writing Family, Faith, Politics and Place was published by Four Courts Press in 2020. Ann-Maria also has an essay on the Boyle women in women's Life Writing and Early Modern Ireland (University of Nebraska, Lincoln: 2019), edited by Julie Eckerle and Naomi McAreavey. Ann-Maria is a Marie Sk?odowska-Curie postdoctoral fellow at Queen's University Belfast and is currently working on an edition of the Boyle women's extant letters for the Irish Manuscripts Commission. Ann-Maria is one of the essay contributors in the RIA's, Sisters, which is edited by Siobhán Fitzpatrick and Mary O'Dowd.
