Seán Enright is a Circuit Court judge and a legal historian of the Irish Revolutionary period 1914-23, with a specialism in the legal system and the capital trials that took place at that time. His books include Easter Rising 1916: the trials (Irish Academic Press, 2013); After the Rising: soldiers, lawyers and trials of the Irish revolution (Merrion Press, 2016); The trial of civilians by military courts: Ireland 1921 (Irish Academic Press, 2012); The Irish civil war. Law, execution and atrocity (Merrion Press, 2019).
