Gemma Clark is senior lecturer in British and Irish History at the University of Exeter. Since her first book, Everyday violence in the Irish civil war (Cambridge University Press, 2014), she has published further on conflict and violence, including gender-based harm and arson. Gemma is currently writing a history of fire as an Irish (and global) protest tool.
