Bill Kissane was born in Ireland and educated at Trinity College Dublin (BA, MA) and the London School of Economics (MSc, PhD). He is currently associate professor of Politics at the LSE. Among his books are The politics of the Irish civil war (Oxford University Press, 2005), and Nations torn asunder: the challenge of civil war (Oxford University Press 2016).
